This is my second year with the Rose family and their beautiful boys. This year we decided to go for a sunset family photoshoot and chose Del Mar Beach, California for its wide swatch of sand and bluff towards the north. The one thing about winter beach sessions is how soft and beautiful the light can be. The boys had a fun time playing around with their parents in the sand, and I had an equally fun time capturing all the love and magic as the sun set.

For their photo session styling they chose to go with a casual vibe. The striped pattern on their youngest son’s shirt gave their whole crew a nautical look which paired nicely with the winter beach surroundings. We also added a fluffy blanket prop for the boys to curl up in.
